Was extremely inspired to create this stunning concept by G xy. Go check out their work: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/v14E86
This was a demo for my Intermediate CGMA class: https://www.cgmasteracademy.com/courses/166-environment-art-for-games-in-ue4
I go over working from a concept and the transition of bringing a 2D idea, into a 3D world and all the obstacles along the way. It's a 10 week course that goes over the entire environment art process from reference gathering, blockout, modeling, texturing, lighting, and the final renders for your portfolio.
Really enjoyed working on this piece and doing a little bit of a different style! Final renders in Unreal Engine 4.
